Celtic are set to sign defender Hatem Abd Elhamed.

Hapoel Be’er Sheva have confirmed on their official Facebook page that defender Hatem Abd Elhamed is set for a medical with Celtic.
The Bhoys have been seeking further defensive additions at right back and centre back, and appear to have found a player to fill both roles.
Abd Elhamed has been linked with Celtic for a couple of weeks now, and Walla in Israel reported just days ago that a deal had been agreed for him to join the Bhoys.
Now, the deal appears to be on the verge of completion, as his club Be’er Sheva have taken to Facebook to confirm that a move is imminent.
They note that Abd Elhamed will now undergo a medical with Celtic ahead of becoming Neil Lennon’s latest signing, wishing him the best of luck and thanking him ahead of his switch.
Celtic must obtain a work permit for Abd Elhamed, but are unlikely to run into issues, giving Lennon his third defensive addition of the summer after Christopher Jullien and Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo.

Abd Elhamed, 28, can play at centre back and right back, whilst he’s played in Israel, Belgium and Romania as well as picking up one cap for his country.
Represented by Dudu Dahan, Abd Elhamed will now follow in the footsteps of compatriots and fellow Dahan clients of yesteryear in Nir Bitton, Rami Gershon and Beram Kayal in joining the Bhoys.
