Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.

Aubameyang moved to Premier League club Arsenal from Bundesliga outfit Dortmund in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £56 million.
Watzke has suggested that the 30-year-old Gabon international moved to the Gunners for financial gain, and believes that the striker will be sad when he does not get to play in the Champions League in midweek.
Watzke told Suddeutsche Zeitung, as translated by The Daily Mail: “Of course it is hard to keep a player in the face of such sums. Some go to clubs because of this money, where they have not played Champions League for years.
“[Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang, who plays great at Arsenal, will probably be warm-hearted when he looks at his bank account, but on Wednesdays will be saddened when he has to watch the Champions League on television.”
Success at Arsenal
Arsenal have been at Arsenal for a while now, but leaving the Bundesliga for the Premier League will be considered a step-up by many.

After all, the top flight of English football is the most-watched domestic league in the world.
Moreover, Aubameyang has been a huge success at the North London outfit, and is a key figure in manager Unai Emery’s team.
The 30-year-old former AC Milan prospect has scored seven goals in seven Premier League appearances for Arsenal so far this season, while in 2018-19, the streaker scored 22 goals and provided five assists in 30 league starts for the Gunners, according to WhoScored.
