Leeds fans have taken to Twitter after hearing something interesting during Manchester City’s 4-1 win over Wolves last night.

During the game, the fake crowd noise operators started playing Marching On Together – a song commonly associated with Leeds.

After hearing their club’s tune during the clash, a number of confused Leeds fans took to Twitter to make sure that others heard it, and they weren’t losing their marbles.

To their relief, plenty of others did hear it.

While you might feel that the crowd noise operators messed up here, it could well have been deliberate.

A few fans commenting about the incident – who we haven’t included below due to foul language used in their tweets – stated that Wolves have tried to claim MOT as their own since the 70’s.

Of course, they’re fighting a losing battle if that is true, as the song is strongly associated with Leeds more than any other club.

At least there was potentially some logic to the strange choice of fake crowd noise.

Having said that, BT Sport – if they were in control of it – perhaps could’ve chosen a chant more commonly sang by the Molineux faithful.

Let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about it…
