Rangers will have a new manager at Ibrox, with Pedro Caixinha in charge.
New Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha after the press conference
This weekend Rangers take on Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership. The fixture will be special, as it is Pedro Caixinha’s first in charge of the Glasgow side.
The game at Ibrox will therefore feel like something of a do-over. Rangers took on Hamilton on the opening day of the season, also at Ibrox. They drew that game, setting them up for what has been an anti-climactic season.
Rangers fans will hope Caixinha can get the better of the Accies, and the Hamilton boss is slightly concerned.
Speaking to The Herald, Hamilton boss Martin Canning confirmed that he was struggling to do his homework on the new Rangers manager:
“I’ve checked back with his previous clubs and seen how they have played but I would imagine that would be dependent on the players he feels he has got to play in the positions he wants them to play.
“So that is a little bit unknown…That is a part of being the first team to play them when it is a new manager, you have to prepare as best you can but there is always that little question mark.”

Seeing how he will set-up is not going to be easy. His career has seen him coach in Mexico, Qatar and with lesser teams in Portuguese football.
Rangers fans may not know what to expect, but either do the club’s opponents, which can only be viewed as a positive from a competitive perspective.
Rangers will be hoping that Caixinha’s surprise factor can help the club get off to a good start under their new manager this weekend.
