The Everton midfielder has been linked with a return to one of his former clubs.

It could be a busy transfer window for Everton in terms of both signings and outgoings, and one player who may leave Goodison Park this month is Muhamed Besic.
The midfielder, who has endured much misfortune with injuries in recent seasons, has been used sparingly by Everton this season and it has become increasingly clear that his future lies away from the club.

According to HSV 24 and Clubcall, Besic is the subject of interest from Hamburg, where he commenced his senior career.
A return to the Bundesliga could well be the best option for Besic to get his career back on track, especially if he is afforded regular playing time.

If Besic was to stay at Everton for the remainder of the campaign then it would be of little benefit for either the player or the club as it is highly unlikely that he would be given many opportunities to impress other than in the event of an injury crisis.
Having joined as an academy player, Besic mainly featured for Hamburg’s reserve side during his time at the club, although he did make three senior appearances prior to joining Ferencvaros.
Now there could well be an opportunity for Besic to return to Hamburg and establish himself as a standout performer.
