Matthias Ostrzolek, the Hamburg left-back, is wanted by Galatasaray along with Charlie Taylor.

The Bundesliga season came to its regular season end this weekend, with Hamburg once again performing a great escape. The Northern side defeated Wolfsburg 2-1 on the final day of the season to ensure they would be playing top-flight football again next term and forcing the recent Champions League quarter-finalists into a relegation play-off.
So how does Hamburg’s survival have a potential knock-on impact on Leeds United? It all has to do with the future of Charlie Taylor and a potential shock move to the West Yorkshire side’s rivals Galatasaray.
Taylor is out of contract in the summer and is wanted by a number of clubs. With Leeds’ chances of promotion to the top-flight over, he refused to play in the club’s final game of the season v Wigan Athletic and a deal to join West Brom is currently on the back-burner.
But, according to Fotospor, the 23-year-old is wanted by Turkish side Galatasaray.

Leeds have a fractious relationship with the Turkish club after the stabbing deaths of fans Kevin Speight and Christopher Loftus before a UEFA Cup semi-final in 2000. The way the Turkish club handled the issue left an ineradicable stain on Galatasaray as far as Leeds fans are concerned.
The report from Fotospor suggested Taylor is second-choice for Gala in their hunt for a left-back, behind Hamburg star Matthias Ostrzolek. The report mentioned that should Hamburg suffer relegation, signing Ostrzolek would be much more likely.

Now that Hamburg have stayed up Galatasaray may prove more of a threat in the hunt for Taylor.
Hopefully the West Yorkshire lad will not however do the disloyal act and join the Turkish side.
