Amadou Haidara came off the bench last night to make his debut for Leeds United’s under-23 team.

Not much is known about the youngster, who arrived at the club on transfer deadline day, curiously announcing his own signing via Instagram.

Leeds have issued no information about his acquisition, but he has started to represent the club at under-23 level.

He was an unused substitute last week as the under-23s were beaten by Ipswich Town, and last night came off the bench in the match against Bristol City.

He was a half-time substitute for returning first team star Gaetano Berardi, who has been out injured for much of the past month.

Haidara played a role as Leeds earned a 1-1 draw, with Jack McKay scoring from close range.

He even had a chance to win the game late on, but could not land his shot on target.

Supporters were a bit perplexed to hear Haidara’s involvement, and there were some mixed reactions to his performance.
