LONDON, ENGLAND - DECEMBER 06: Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur celebrates with team mates Heung-Min Son, Giovani Lo Celso and Steven Bergwijn after scoring their sides second goal during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 06, 2020 in London, England. Dimitar Berbatov was seemingly enjoying himself tonight as he reacted on his Instagram story to Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Arsenal in the North London derby.

The former Spurs hitman posted a video of him reacting to Harry Kane’s goal at the end of the first half when he combined once again with his partner in crime Heung-Min Son.

Berbatov stated: “Yes people,” Berbatov told his Instagram followers. “Kane to Son and Son to Kane. Goaaaaal! Hahahaha. Come on you Spurs. What a goal!”

Berbatov wasn’t the only one was offering his thoughts to Tottenham’s win, with William Gallas also writing on his Instagram story: “Today the best team in North London won. Well done @spursofficial.”

It was a pretty sublime opening from Son, whose curling effort from outside of the area following a fast break resulted in the 2000 Spurs fans inside the stadium jumping with joy.

Jose Mourinho’s side allowed the away team to have the majority of possession, but Spurs were ruthless and effective when they had the ball.

That was proven when Kane struck on the stroke of half-time when his left-footed shot was too good for Bernd Leno to keep out his net.

It now means that Spurs move to the top of the Premier League table and send out another signal to the rest of the league that they mean serious business this season.

It has been over a year since Mourinho was appointed by Spurs and it’s fair to say that he has transformed the club from a team that was sitting in the bottom half of the table when he first arrived.

As for Arsenal, the questions are going to be asked of Mikel Arteta and where his team have headed because this defeat will seriously boil the blood of those previously patient supporters.
