Liverpool fans have been left in hysterics after Jurgen Klopp seemed to take a dig at Everton in his latest press conference, which was broadcast on the club’s official Youtube channel.

Liverpool’s poor run of form has allowed others to catch them, with Everton now moving just three points behind his side.

Everton also have two games in hand over their Merseyside rivals, with a game against Liverpool set to take place on Saturday.

The game needed little spice added to it, as it already looked huge, but Klopp’s latest comments may just have done so.

He said: “Nobody is happy with being fourth and only having 40 points and (potentially) being level on points with Everton.”

While those comments have riled Everton supporters, Liverpool fans could not help but laugh at their manager’s words, which brought a bit of humour to their current situation.

Liverpool are actually in action this evening against RB Leipzig in the Champions League, in what looks another difficult challenge.

If the Reds could pick up a victory that would be a major boost before the derby, but another defeat could dent their confidence further.

Liverpool now seem to be in a real fight for a top four spot, after falling out of the Champions League qualification places last night.
