Has Hadi Sacko done enough to earn a permanent move to Leeds United?

Leeds United head into the off-season with numerous issues to resolve, including the future of head coach Garry Monk.

Far further down the list of priorities, is winger Hadi Sacko, who is under contract to Sporting Lisbon.

Unfortunately for the 23-year-old, he has not done enough to make resolving his future a priority.

Sacko needed to end the season strongly to leave an impression, but he has only been a bit part player during a difficult month.

The winger last started for the club in their 1-0 loss at Reading on April 1, and hasn’t been selected from kick off since.

He has made three appearances from the bench, and was not called upon at all in their crunch fixture at home to Norwich City at the weekend.

Sacko’s last goal for Leeds came back on Boxing Day, while he hasn’t provided an assist in the Championship since October.

Competition for places increased in January and Sacko has had injury problems too, but he hasn’t shown an ability to rise to the challenge.

In the first half of the season he looked a dangerous player whose final ball often let him down. Instead of building on this promise he has gone backwards.

Sacko will be hoping for a start on the final day of the season away at Wigan so he can have one last shot at leaving a meaningful impression.

As it stands, it is unclear if he has done enough to convince Leeds to want to buy him permanently, and his lack of usage over the past month indicates his chances are diminishing.
