Leeds United kick off their league campaign against Stoke City today.

Leeds United start their Championship campaign today as they host Stoke City at Elland Road, and Hadi Sacko has sent a message to the Leeds squad ahead of the game.
The Whites have enjoyed a productive summer, as they completed a stunning managerial appointment, replacing Paul Heckingbottom with Argentinian legend Marcelo Bielsa.
‘El Loco’ has been backed with three loan signings in Jamal Blackman, Lewis Baker and Jack Harrison, whilst Barry Douglas and Patrick Bamford have been purchased to the tune of around £10million.
Leeds now have real hopes of a play-off push, and will be hoping that Bielsa’s stint mirrors his superb spells with Athletic Bilbao or Marseille rather than his swift exits at Lazio and Lille in recent times.
They face a tough task today against a relegated Stoke side, who have kept the majority of their squad together from the Premier League, and they have been given a good luck message by a player Bielsa has allowed to leave.

Winger Hadi Sacko had blown hot and cold since a 2016 move from Sporting, and having been seen as surplus to requirements by Bielsa, joined Las Palmas on loan last week.
Now though, Sacko has taken to Twitter ahead of the Stoke game to wish a ‘big and exciting’ season for all his former Leeds teammates, adding that he wants to see the club get in the Championship play-offs this time around.
