Leeds United have a new winger to get excited about if his debut is anything to go by.

New Leeds United winger Hadi Sacko has been speaking to the club’s official website after scoring on his debut against Shelbourne earlier this week.
The young Frenchman has signed a one-year loan deal from Sporting Lisbon and he wasted little time making an impact, scoring what proved to be the winner in the Whites’ first pre-season friendly of the summer.

Reflecting on that strike, Sacko told leedsunited.com, “We’ve worked really well on our passing game in training this week with the gaffer; he’s asked us for a lot of movement.
“I felt that for the goal and I asked for the pass at the right time.”
Sacko joined Sporting after previously impressing in France. However he has featured only four times for the Portuguese club’s senior side, instead turning out predominantly for the B team.
He scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 54 matches at that level and he will now be hoping to get his career back on track at Elland Road.

Leeds manager Garry Monk has impressed with his signings to date and Sacko went the right way to impressing his new fans with his strike and his all-round performance on Wednesday evening.
In reference to the Leeds supporters, the 22-year-old said, “They are amazing. There were a lot of fans there even though we are not in our country. We felt that they were behind us and with us.”
They certainly are, and they will no doubt have been happy with what they saw of Sacko as he began what could be a very exciting season for him and for Leeds.
