According to a report published on FIFA, Leeds United’s signing of Hadi Sacko is one of the most expensive of the last decade.
Yes, Sacko.
The report looks at the 70 most expensive transfers of the last decade, and Sacko features on the list.
The Times have reported that Sacko cost Leeds less than £1 million in transfer fee when they signed him on a permanent contract from Sporting Lisbon in 2017.
The Mali international winger initially had a loan spell at Elland Road from the Portuguese giants.
The Times have reported that the FIFA list rates the 27-year-old’s transfer at between £44 million and £72 million.
Why?

Well, because of the ‘conditional fees’ attached by Sporting, such as a further £10 million to be paid had he won the Premier League title with Leeds, according to the report.
Sacko was a regular for Leeds during the 2016-17 season, making 28 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Championship.
The winger scored two goals and gave three assists in those games.

During the 2017-18 campaign, the Mali international made one start and 13 substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds.
Sacko failed to make a massive impact under head coach Marcelo Bielsa, and after loan spells at Las Palmas and MKE Ankaragucu, he moved to Denizlispor on a permanent contract in the summer of 2019.
The winger is a free agent at the moment following his departure from Denizlispor.
