Everton boss Marco Silva has done some fine business bringing Kurt Zouma in on loan this season.

Gylfi Sigurdsson has told the Liverpool Echo that he will be putting pressure on Kurt Zouma to join Everton permanently.

Zouma is currently on loan at Everton from Chelsea, but Marco Silva wants him to stay at Goodison Park on a longer-term basis.

Zouma has turned into a very popular player during his time with the Toffees.

And Sigurdsson has suggested that he will be doing his bit to convince Zouma that staying at Everton is his best option.

“Of course, we want to keep every good player that we’ve got,” the Icelandic midfielder said.

“He’s been fantastic for us since he came in, so hopefully he’ll want to stay.

“I’m sure the club will put a bit of pressure on him to stay, and I’m sure the boys will as well!”

It has been suggested by The Sun that Everton will have to pay £30 million, if they are to land Zouma from Chelsea.

The centre-back has been a key player in the Toffees backline, making 29 appearances in the Premier League in total.

Everton’s task of convince Zouma to stay could be aided if they manage to finish seventh and claim a spot in the Europa League.
