Leeds United were linked with Gyasi Zardes in January.

Gyasi Zardes is one of the biggest names in Major League Soccer, and that looks set to continue for some time yet.
The 27-year-old has been a star in the States since coming through with LA Galaxy, where he smashed 40 goals in 154 games.
In 2018, Zardes was traded to Columbus Crew for Ola Kamara, and he responded in style as he racked up a superb 20 goals in 36 outings last season.
This term, the speedy forward has started in style, scoring four goals in 12 games as he pursues more goals – and he has now sorted out his future.
Zardes has signed a new deal with Columbus Crew, securing his future for years to come, though an actual date wasn’t disclosed in the MLS press release.

That means that Zardes won’t be heading to England, after TEAMtalk reported that Leeds Untied were among the teams interested in signing him in January.
If Leeds had any lingering interest in signing Zardes, then they now appear to be over, meaning Victor Orta will have to look elsewhere for another striker.
