Leeds United fans generally feel that Jordan Pickford being out for their game may benefit Everton.
Carlo Ancelotti confirmed at his latest press conference that Pickford wouldn’t be fit to play against Leeds on Wednesday evening.
However, the goalkeeper’s form has been so questionable of late, that Leeds supporters do not see the injury blow as good news for them.
Some Whites fans did recall that Pickford had played a blinder against them before though, and stuck up for the under-fire stopper.
Everton are likely to start Robin Olsen with Pickford sidelined, for their clash against Leeds.
Olsen has generally performed well when he has been required to step into Everton’s team, although he isn’t entirely proven at Premier League level.
Everton actually head into the game on the back of a disappointing defeat to Newcastle, while Leeds are riding the crest of a wave, having won on their last two outings.
If Leeds can topple Everton at Elland Road tomorrow then they will move just one point behind Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the Premier League standings.
