Some Leeds United fans on social media are absolutely gutted after Ian Poveda went down with a serious injury while on loan at Blackburn Rovers.
Poveda has broken his fibula and suffered some ligament damage, and sadly, it’s not too unrealistic to say that he probably won’t play again this season.
The young winger had been shining at Blackburn while out on loan, he was settling in nicely in Lancashire and he even scored and grabbed an assist against Sheffield United a couple of weeks ago.
Sadly though, Poveda has been cut down in his prime and he will be out of action for quite some time.
We can only hope that the winger can come back stronger and continue to develop at Leeds, because he looked like he was blossoming into a rather talented footballer.
