Some Leeds United fans are far from happy with the latest England squad after both Luke Ayling and Patrick Bamford were left out by Gareth Southgate.
The Guardian had reported this week that both players were being considered by the Three Lions, but at 2PM the squad list came out and their names were nowhere to be seen.
There was a new name in terms of strikers, but it was Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins who got the nod over the Leeds striker, despite the fact Bamford has scored more goals than him this season.
You have to wonder if Bamford will ever get a shot on the international scene after being snubbed here, and while Leeds supporters weren’t happy with Ayling being left out, that decision is much more understandable due to England’s depth at right-back.
United supporters certainly think that both players deserved the nod, and it didn’t take them long to make their feelings known on social media.
