Newcastle United co-owner Jamie Reuben has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the Magpies’ failure to win against Brighton and Hove Albion.
What’s the story?
Newcastle played out a 1-1 draw with Brighton away from home in the Premier League last night.
The Seagulls took the lead in the 24th minute through a Leandro Trossard penalty.
The Magpies were very disappointing in the first half, but the players stepped up their game in the second period.
Isaac Hayden scored the equaliser midway through the second half.
Brighton ended the match with 10 men, as goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was sent off in the second minute of injury time.
Jamie Reuben’s reaction
Newcastle co-owner Reuben was following the match, and he was not happy with the first-half performance of the team and with the final result.
The British businessman, whose net worth is reportedly estimated to be between $1million and $5million as of 2020, has also thanked the travelling fans for their support.
Stepping up
Newcastle did play well in the second half and could have won the game.
The Magpies are in a real fight for survival, and perhaps incoming manager Eddie Howe will be able to get the best out of the players.
