And Poyet is shocked that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have not shown more desire to improve the quality of their squad.

“No doubt, I don’t know what is going on,” he said, when asked if he was concerned by Spurs’ lack of business.
“I don’t know what Pochettino is looking for – is it something very strategic at he can’t get it? It worries me a bit. They had an opportunity to win the league, and I was expecting them to push a little bit.”
Tottenham have sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City this summer, in the only notable transfer deal that the North London club have completed.
Spurs finished last season in second place, but many of their rivals have strengthened ahead of the new campaign.
Manchester City and Manchester United have both spent heavily, while Arsenal snapped up Alexandre Lacazette to improve their forward options.
Tottenham have been linked with a whole host of players, but as yet no new arrivals have signed up with the Lilywhites.
