Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Walker-Peters looks likely to start in Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s first Premier League match of the season.

Walker-Peters was linked with a move away from Tottenham earlier in the summer, with the youngster offered to Crystal Palace according to The Times.
However, Kieran Trippier’s departure has opened up a gap for him in Tottenham’s first-team, and he looks almost certain to start in Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s first match of the season next weekend.
Walker-Peters was also handed a chance to impress in pre-season yesterday, as he featured from the off in Tottenham’s friendly against Bayern Munich.
And Poyet was impressed by what he saw from the 22-year-old right-back.
The former Spurs midfielder said: “The style of play, they need a player like Walker-Peters. The players giving width are the full-backs. You need a player to go up and down.
“Foyth is a solid defender, but Kyle gets you up and down. He only played a few games last year, but after Trippier left he could be very important.”

Walker-Peters could have his chance to stamp his authority on the right-back slot in Tottenham’s team over the early part of the campaign, as Spurs are now struggling with injuries.
Both Foyth and Serge Aurier could be unavailable for the first few weeks of the season, which gives Walker-Peters a great chance to show that he is ready to play regular first-team football.
