The Everton ace has been linked with both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal this summer.
Ex-Gunners ace Perry Groves sat down for an exclusive interview with popular sports betting company Bwin, and shared his belief that Ross Barkley would be perfect for his former club, but admitted that Spurs could very well win the race for the Toffees man.
The 23-year-old Everton star will almost certainly leave Goodison Park this summer, after refusing terms on a new contract with the club. Ronald Koeman admitted that the midfielder is now in search of a new challenge, as quoted by the Metro, and with just 12 months remaining on his current deal with the Blues, there will surely be no shortage of potential suitors for his signature.

Groves though, who made 155 league appearances for the Gunners, explained how he believes his former club will miss out on signing the Everton man this summer, during an exclusive interview with Bwin:
“I’d absolutely love him at Arsenal. I’m a massive Ross Barkley fan and think he could be perfect for us. He’s got something that other players don’t have. If you can get Barkley for £25m, that’s a no-brainer. He could play behind Lacazette or alongside Xhaka – I’d love to have him. He wants to test himself and needs to do so at a club like Arsenal to earn the right to demand such money. I think he’ll end up at Tottenham or Chelsea, which would be a real shame as he’s entering the peak stage of his career.”
The 22-capped England international possesses undoubted talent, but his career thus far has been plagued by inconsistency, and quite whether he is the man to take Arsenal to another level is debatable to say the least.
Tottenham, on the other hand, are in need of a more creative, attack-minded player to help supplement the skills of Christian Eriksen, and Barkley could be just the man for the job at Spurs.
