West Ham United are reportedly interested in Alaves defender Guillermo Maripan.

According to Football.London, West Ham are interested in signing Maripan from Alaves in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that the the 25-year-old central defender has a release clause of £23 million.
The Chile international has revealed that he has always wanted to play in the Premier League.
Maripan, though, has stated that he is in no rush to make a decision on his future and will do so only after the Copa America.
Goal.com quotes Maripan as saying: “Since I was little, I always liked the Premier League. It’s a great challenge on a personal level. It’s my second season in Europe, I feel very good in Spain, but I would like to go to the Premier League.
“I will decide in the future after the Copa America. Now I’m just thinking about the Copa America.”

Good signing for West Ham United?
West Ham could do with signing a defender in the summer transfer window, and Maripan will be a decent addition to the Hammers’ squad.
The 25-year-old centre-back has done well for Alaves over the past two seasons, and he is ready to take the next step in his career and move to a bigger club such as West Ham.
