According to the Daily Star, Leeds United have verbally agreed a three-year deal with Valencia striker Rodrigo.
It’s claimed that Rodrigo is Marcelo Bielsa’s first-choice target, with Leeds representatives flying out to Spain earlier today.
Leeds will allegedly pay a staggering £31million rising to £36million for Rodrigo, with that three-year deal provisionally agreed.
The deal isn’t done yet though. Rodrigo allegedly has interest from other clubs, who could launch a last-gasp move for the striker.
Everton have allegedly held Rodrigo on their wanted list for a long time, but they don’t plan to make an hijacking move.
Additionally, Guillem Balague has now backed up this report, claiming the verbal agreement is in place and contracts are being drawn up.
Rodrigo, 29, has hit 59 goals in 220 games for Valencia, including seven last season, For Spain, Rodrigo has eight goals in 22 appearances.
The Brazil-born attacker has already had one spell in England with Bolton Wanderers, and now looks set to return to the Premier League as Leeds’ record signing.
