Alexis Sanchez joined Arsenal from Barcelona in the summer of 2014.
Arsenal signed Chile international forward Sanchez from Barcelona in the summer of 2014 for a transfer fee reported by The Independent to be worth £35 million.
The 28-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, was on the books of the Spanish and European giants from 2011 until 2014.

Although Sanchez won La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Super Cup with Barcelona during his time at Camp Nou, he was not a great success and did not fit into the way the team were playing at the time.
Well-known Spanish football expert Balague, who works for Sky Sports, has suggested that Sanchez would be a good signing for Barca this summer.
Balague, though, has stated that the Spanish giants have not considered re-signing the former Udinese.

“To be honest this is a good point,” Balague wrote on SkySports.com during a Twitter Q&A when asked why Barcelona have not considered Sanchez.
“But he didn’t succeed at Barcelona, he struggled with the style at Barca at that time. Now he would be a good addition, but no, they have not considered him.”
Sanchez scored 24 goals and provided 10 assists in 36 Premier League appearances for Arsenal during the 2016-17 campaign.
