Spanish journalist shoots down Manchester United’s Neymar hopes.
Neymar scores the second goal for Barcelona
Neymar continues to be touted as a transfer target for Manchester United, with alarm in the Spanish press that the Red Devils are preparing a world record move.
Newspaper Sport report United are considering paying Neymar’s release clause, which is in the region of £170 million.
Neymar is one of three top stars at Barcelona alongside Lionel Messiu and Luis Suarez, and outshone them both in the club’s incredible comeback win in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain last month.
Barcelona’s Neymar in action
United could potentially offer him the chance to be the main man at Old Trafford, but a deal would be tough to conclude.
Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has had his say, and is adamant Neymar will be a Barcelona player in 2016/17.
It would not be a surprise if United at least enquired for the Brazilian, and fans should believe any deal is viable considering their financial power.
Neymar’s long term plans remain unclear, and United can probably expect to be linked to him each summer for the forseeable future.
