Barcelona play host to Tottenham Hotspur at the Camp Nou tonight.

Well renowned Spanish football expert Guillem Balague took to Twitter today, ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash between Barcelona and Tottenham at the Camp Nou, and insisted that the Catalan giants will be fielding a strong team.

Barca sit at the top of their Champions League group, and have already qualified as group winners, whilst Spurs need to at least match Inter Milan’s result, if they are to make it through to the knock-out stages of the competition.

Tottenham head into tonight’s clash on the back of a fine run of form, and currently sit in third spot in the Premier League table, just six points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.

Barcelona, meanwhile are top of the La Liga, three points clear of second placed Sevilla.

The Spanish giants are expected to represent a real challenge for Tottenham tonight, and Balague took to Twitter, refuting suggestions that Ernesto Valverde will field a weakened team:

Balague seemed to hint that Lionel Messi will be starting tonight, and that thought alone will fill Spurs fans with dread.

Whichever team the Barca boss fields tonight will be top quality, and Tottenham will quite simply have to be on their very best form, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of beating the La Liga outfit.
