Barcelona are determined to sign Coutinho from Liverpool.

Barcelona remain determined to sign Coutinho from Liverpool, but accept their hopes are fading.
According to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, they feel Liverpool’s asking price is too high, and are relying on the Brazilian forcing a move.
Offering an update on Twitter, Balague commented:
If Balague is correct then it is bright news for Liverpool. The Reds are determined not to let the Brazilian leave the club and have just over a week to hold on.
Liverpool have been knocked back in their attempts to try and sign key targets Virgil van Dijk and Naby Keita, and it would be a bad look if they themselves caved over their star man.

Coutinho is missing from Liverpool’s game tonight against Hoffenheim with illness, the timing of which has led to suspicions he is trying to press through a move.
As Barcelona back off Liverpool’s crazy asking price, Coutinho will have the mend bridges and start facing up to the reality that he should stay put at Anfield, especially after signing a new contract only this January.
