Should Tottenham Hotspur make a move for Real Madrid’s Isco in the summer transfer window?

Well-known Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has claimed on Skysports.com that Isco is likely to remain at Real Madrid.

Balague has also claimed that Madrid’s bitter Spanish rivals, Barcelona, want to sign the 24-year-old Spain international attacking midfielder.

“He is likely to remain but not just because of what’s happened over the last month,” Balague wrote on Skysports.com when asked if Isco is likely to remain at Madrid.

“Real Madrid have put a big offer on the table and I think that’s the consequence of the interest from Barcelona. They asked Isco if he wanted to come at the end of his contract next season.

“Zidane wants him to stay and so do Real Madrid. Perhaps more importantly, no big offers arrived for him.

“It’s more likely he stays now but the ball is in his court. The contract, if signed, would make him one of the six best-paid players at the club.”

Should Tottenham Hotspur make move?

Isco has struggled with consistency during his time at Madrid, and there are also doubts on whether he helps the team defensively enough.

One thing is certain about Isco: he is a very good attacking midfielder and could potentially become world class in the coming years.

The former Malaga star would be a good signing for Tottenham, and the North London outfit should make a move.

While Madrid may not be willing to sell the 24-year-old, they could be convinced by a decent transfer fee.

Tottenham have established themselves as Premier League title challengers and are set to feature in the Champions League next season.

Spurs are going places, and Isco could be convinced to switch to White Hart Lane.
