Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks has been fighting for first-team football this season, and speculation now surrounds his future.
A favourite of Mauricio Pochettino, Winks hasn’t quite been as popular under Jose Mourinho, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko the first-choice central midfield pairing.
The 24-year-old has started just five Premier League games this season, and he may be in real danger of missing out on a place in England’s squad for the European Championships.
Winks has Spanish heritage through his grandparents, and the Athletic reported last month that La Liga clubs were indeed keen on signing him.
AS reported on Friday that Valencia are interested in taking Winks to Spain, which initially sounded like it could be a permanent move.
Now though, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has taken to Twitter to suggest that Winks would be heading to Valencia on loan.

Balague added that Valencia have no made a second bid for Winks, having failed with their first offer, with Daniel Levy’s demands for a loan payment are making a deal ‘very unlikely’.
Balague thinks Winks would love to play in Spain and would really develop even in just a few months at Valencia, but whether the two teams can come to an agreement remains to be seen.
