Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly want to sign Manchester City youngster Oleksandr Zinchenko in the summer transfer window.

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans will be encouraged by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s previous comments about Oleksandr Zinchenko.
According to Sky Sports, Wolves are interested in signing Zinchenko from Premier League champions City in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the Wanderers have made an offer of £16 million for the Ukraine international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a wing-back.
Zinchenko is only 21 years of age and has made only a handful of appearances for the City first team, but Wolves fans should look forward to the prospect of the former Ufa youngster turning out at the Molineux Stadium.
Back in November 2017, City manager Guardiola, who is a world-class manager and has won multiple major trophies at Barcelona and Bayern Munich, spoke highly of Zinchenko.
The Manchester Evening News quoted Guardiola as saying on November 29, 2017 regarding the inclusion of the youngster in his Champions League squad: “I decided to bring Aleks Zinchenko into the squad because he’s training amazing.”
Guardiola added: “Normally he is an attacking midfielder but he can play winger or full back as well.Against Wolves, who are first in the Championship and gave us a difficult game, he played full back and did really well.
“He is a talented player, so clear, so clean. The way he plays, his decisions are always perfect. As a young player I hope in the future he will help us.
“He is going to stay for the whole season with us because I have the feeling we are going to use him.”

Zinchenko made six starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League and one in the Champions League last season.
There may not be space for the 21-year-old – who earns £20,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – in the current City team, but the youngster would certainly be a very good addition to Nuno’s side at Wolves.
