Manchester City boss clashed with Tottenham Hotspur counterpart earlier this month.

Tottenham Hotspur’s loss against West Ham in midweek has been greeted cheerfully by Manchester City fans.
Not only is one strong competitor out of the Carabao Cup, but their loss has given a little sway to manager Pep Guardiola after a public row with Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino took an exception to a comment from Guardiola where he referred to Tottenham as ‘the Harry Kane team’, despite lauding them as Premier League title contenders.

Tottenham played without Harry Kane in midweek, and slipped to a home defeat against West Ham.
It only added more fuel to suggestions that Tottenham’s success is dependent on the reigning golden boot winner.

Kane was not the only one missing, with Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez, Harry Winks and Christian Eriksen missing from the starting line-up.
Spurs coped well without Kane last season during two injury enforced stretches, but they will be hoping he is fully fit this weekend when they visit Manchester United.
