Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has identified Tottenham Hotspur duo Dele Alli and Danny Rose, along with Sunderland keeper Jordan Pickford, as potential summer targets.

With the end of the season not too far away, the Premier League’s top sides are likely to be already drawing together lists of potential summer targets, as they aim to strengthen for next season.
Three players who are reportedly being targeted by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola are Tottenham Hotspur duo Dele Alli and Danny Rose, as well as Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Pep Guardiola’s team have blown hot and cold this season, and despite their array of impressive attacking players, the team have struggled in isolated areas at times this season.
The Tottenham Hotspur pair Alli and Rose have been in fine form this season, playing a major part in Spurs’ title bid, as they look to stay in the hunt of Chelsea, just like Manchester City.
Sunderland keeper Pickford has also been in excellent form, despite his side’s poor position in the league. The England youngster has arguably been the only highlight for Sunderland fans during what has been a fairly miserable season for the Black Cats.

But just how likely are such moves? Manchester City’s number one target in the summer will arguably be a new goalkeeper, so a move for Pickford makes sense. Joe Hart’s future at the club looks uncertain, and after Claudio Bravo’s consistently inconsistent form, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Guardiola move for someone new. If Sunderland are relegated come the end of the season, a move for Jordan Pickford may well be an easy one, and could pocket Sunderland a good amount.
Moves for Dele Alli and Danny Rose however, are much more complicated and convoluted. As title rivals, Spurs are unlikely to want to sell to Manchester City, despite the huge fees in which Guardiola’s team could pay. In the past, Spurs have done a good job at getting enormous fees for their best players, such as Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, and they are likely to take this similar attitude to any deals involving Dele Alli and Danny Rose.

Will we be seeing Jordan Pickford, Danny Rose or Dele Alli in Manchester City shirts next season? One of them, potentially, but all three would take a lot of negotiation and, of course, a lot of money!
