Granada will do everything in their power to sign reported West Ham United and Southampton target Yangel Herrera on a permanent deal from Manchester City, as reported by AS.
Unfortunately, there is a rather sizeable obstacle standing in their way.
And you won’t be surprised to learn that the problem is one of the monetary variety.

AS reports that the £18 million option-to-buy clause in Herrera’s contract threatens Granada’s hope of a permanent deal.
Diego Martinez’s high-flying side have not given up hope just yet, however, and will ‘do everything possible’ to retain the services of a man who has shone during two seasons on loan in Spanish football.
The report adds that Manchester City, last summer, tried to include Herrera as a sweetener in the deal that saw Ferran Torres swap Valencia for the Etihad at a cool £20 million.
Almost 12 months on, the runaway Premier League leaders may be tempted to bring the Venezuelan midfielder back to his parent club, especially once the long-serving Fernandinho follows Sergio Aguero out the door.
With eight goals to his name this season, Herrera certainly deserves the chance to prove his worth at City.
Speaking to the Sun (8 April, page 50), the 23-year-old admitted that Man City’s scouts have been impressed by his all-action displays in the red and white of Granada.
But if the La Liga outfit cannot afford a permanent deal, Southampton and West Ham may be willing to step in according to the Sun.
