Brentford boss Thomas Frank has said that any suitor that aims to sign Ivan Toney, such as Newcastle United reportedly will have to pay a king’s ransom.
A report claimed in April that Eddie Howe’s side were having internal discussions over swooping in for the 27-year-old in the summer.
Thomas Frank lavished praise on to Newcastle target Ivan Toney, telling every interested club that in order to sign him, they must break the bank.
What Thomas Frank said about Newcastle target Ivan Toney
The England international is having a phenomenal season for the Bees, with a ridiculous 20 Premier League goals to his name.
With Brentford siting in ninth place in the league, it is astounding that the only two strikers that have outscored the lethal finisher are Harry Kane (26 goals) and Erling Haaland (35 goals).
Thomas Frank, who has previously claimed that he would not swap Ivan Toney for the latter named how much Newcastle might have to pay to sign him.

“Ivan Toney can be worth £100 million in my opinion. What would you pay for a striker that guarantees you 20 plus goals.”
“He can mature like a fine wine”, he said, as relayed by Fabrizio Romano.
HITC View: Ivan Toney would be a tremendous signing for the Magpies
While Ivan Toney did not blow up any trees at Newcastle during his previous spell, as Thomas Frank said, he could be impactful anywhere at this stage of his career.
The English striker has already proven that he is a prolific goalscorer in a side that are not even half as creative as Howe and Co.
Even if Toney’s goal output dries up, his overall game still remains incredibly complete.
Be it the ex-Peterborough United No.9’s elite hold-up play, brilliant ability to link play up, adeptness in deep areas and impressive passing ability, he has it all.
If Newcastle end up signing Ivan Toney, the rest of the league would be understandably worried as this team is not slowing down in their ascent anytime soon.
