Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have convinced themselves that Nuno Espirito Santo will try to sign Raul Jimenez from Wolves.
Now, there’s been no concrete links to Jimenez as of yet, but we can absolutely understand why supporters have come up with this theory.
Think about it, if Harry Kane leaves Spurs, Tottenham will need a new number nine and Nuno knows Jimenez well after their time together at Wolves.
Jimenez is an exceptional striker as well, with Tony Pulis once claiming that he’s the second-best striker in the Premier League, labelling him as ‘absolutely outstanding’.
Managers signing players from their former clubs is a trend we often see in the Premier League, and given Jimenez’s quality and Kane’s seemingly impending departure, this is a transfer move that seems to make a lot of sense.
Supporters have put two and two together and theorised that this is a move that could be on the cards, but it remains to be seen whether or not they’re right.
