Some Leeds United fans on social media aren’t feeling very optimistic after it was announced that David Coote will officiate their game against Fulham.

Leeds fans weren’t questioning Coote’s ability as on official, but they were worried about their terrible record when Coote has been involved in their games.

Indeed, United have lost all three games refereed by Coote this season, with the official taking charge of both matches against Wolves and the game against Tottenham, and while his refereeing decisions weren’t necessarily deciding factor in those fixtures, it’s an unhappy record that Leeds have.

Superstitious United fans may also want to consider the Yorkshire club’s abhorrent record when playing in London in recent years.

If you’re someone who believes in curses and bad luck, then you may already have this one chalked down as a Fulham win.

Here’s what the Elland Road faithful have been saying on social media…
