Arsenal fans have only been made to feel more nervous ahead of their game against Leeds United due to the Whites’ injury problems.

Injury issues mount

Leeds Live reported yesterday that Leeds could have just 11 senior players fit for the weekend after a huge amount of injury problems.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are right down to the bare bones at this point, but Arsenal aren’t typically the most ruthless of teams.

The Gunners may go into the game in solid form after their win over West Ham United.

However, Arsenal have already faced an injury depleted side in Everton this season and they lost that contest.

And the news coming out of Leeds that they are struggling so badly with injuries is only making Arsenal supporters feel more nervous.

Bouncing back

Leeds will head into the game looking to bounce back from a 7-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Bielsa said their performance in that contest was the worst he had seen during his entire time in charge.

But Leeds have proven they can compete against the very best, even with so many players sidelined.

The Yorkshire side ran Chelsea very close in a recent game.

They did lose 3-2 eventually, but Chelsea required two penalties to beat them.

Leeds will be desperate to have the likes of Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford back sooner rather than later though.

Bielsa’s side are sat just five points above the relegation zone, with teams around them possessing games in hand.
