Marko Grujic has written on Instagram that he thinks Ollie Watkins has ‘probably ended’ Adrian’s Liverpool career.
When replying to a post from Engleski fudbal about the Aston Villa striker’s rise on Instagram, the former Red Star Belgrade player wrote two messages in Bosnian.
The first was Grujic innocently bemoaning the fact he removed the former Exeter striker from his Fantasy Football team, writing: ‘The first couple of games the man is nowhere to be found, I impatiently decided to move him in Fantasy…. the rest is history.’
However, the second message is more intriguing.
The 24-year-old then wrote: ‘Verovatno i okoncao Adrianovu karijeru u Lfcu.’

That intriguingly translates to: ‘Probably also ended Adrian’s career at LFC’.
There is no denying that the Spaniard’s shaky start against Villa didn’t help Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Adrian’s overhit pass to Joe Gomez allowed Jack Grealish to play Watkins in to score, and then the floodgates well and truly opened – of course, Villa eventually won 7-2.

It is not the first mistake the former West Ham glovesman has made for Liverpool either.
It was his mishit clearance against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last 16 which allowed Marcos Llorente to put the Spanish side in charge of the tie last season, where they eventually progressed.
However, it is unfair to criticise Adrian.

He was let go by West Ham when his contract ended, and probably didn’t foresee himself playing this many games for one of Europe’s best sides, especially behind a keeper of Alisson Becker’s quality.
Knocking his confidence will, presumably, only see these types of errors occur more often, so it is crucial that the Anfield faithful get behind their keeper.
