Lee Dixon claimed on his Instagram story that Tottenham’s groundsman wasn’t happy with Jose Mourinho after he took a ‘shortcut across the pitch’ before the game.
The former defender posted a short clip to his Instagram followers where Mourinho is seemingly walking on Tottenham’s pitch to head towards the dressing room just before the game.
Mourinho will be hoping he can turn back time because his Tottenham side, despite taking the lead, were beaten 3-1 by Manchester United tonight.
But Dixon, who was commenting on the game and watching the pre-match action from the gantry, wrote this on his Instagram story:
‘A shortcut across the pitch for Jose. Groundsman not happy,” added with a laughing emoji.
For the second week running, Tottenham have been in the lead and blown their chances of walking away with three points.
Whilst they came from behind to lead 2-1 against Newcastle last week, they were 1-0 up today, albeit controversially, but were just demolished in the second half by a seemingly fired up Manchester United side.
As the week’s tick by, Tottenham’s chances of finishing in the top four are declining, but that League Cup final against Manchester City is looming ever so closer.
