The 25-year-old thinks that Manchester United is the “perfect” club for his French teammate, reports the Guardian.

Griezmann believes that fans of the club will not be let down by the world-record signing. He added: “They can expect the spectacular from Paul. He deserves it. He works hard and has the talent to be such an important player.”

When quizzed whether or not he had any of his own Premier League ambitions, the Euro 2016 Player of the Tournament said: “Yes, why not? If I am out of contract with Atlético I would ask myself that question.”

Pogba made his second debut with United on Friday night in the 2-0 win over Southampton. While he was unable to get on the scoresheet or turn provider, fans were pleased with what they saw from the £89 million-man, with the Manchester Evening News saying that he “brought impetus to the attack and upped the tempo with his dynamism”.

After Griezmann had tweeted his support of Pogba and United before Friday’s match, fans of the club couldn’t disguise their wishes that he would join his international teammate at Old Trafford in the near future.

After all, Griezmann’s brother Theo has in the past tweeted in support of United.

For now though, Griezmann is focused on ensuring that he continues last season’s form that saw him score 39 goals in 67 games and fire Atleti to the Champions League final.

However, his team didn’t get their La Liga campaign off to the best start on the weekend.

Playing at home to Alaves, a penalty by Kevin Gameiro in the 93rd minute finally gave Atleti the lead, only for them to relinquish it in the 95th minute to a long-range Manu Garcia goal.
