Dion McGhee is still hunting for a new club, despite being linked with a host of clubs both in England and Scotland.
McGhee chose to leave Manchester United over the summer as his contract expired, with the midfielder keen to play first-team football.
At 20, McGhee is now looking for senior playing opportunities having failed to break through at Old Trafford, and his versatility should be appealing.
McGhee can play as a number 10 or right-sided midfielder, whilst he has even featured at left back during his time in the United ranks.
Sources close to McGhee told the Manchester Evening News in July that Rangers and West Ham United were frontrunners to sign McGhee, but neither have struck a deal.
In August, Vavel reported that McGhee had joined Tottenham Hotspur on trial, but it again didn’t lead anywhere with no deal on the table.

So what now for McGhee? Nord Bayern report that McGhee started a trial with German second-tier side Greuther Furth, but left after one session to deal with a family matter.
McGhee didn’t have enough time for Furth to make a decision, and sporting director Rachid Azzouzi has admitted that family comes first, with a return now up in the air.
The international window may be closed, but McGhee can still move on as a free agent. Despite links to the likes of Rangers, West Ham and Spurs, he seems prepared to drop into Germany’s second tier in pursuit of playing time – a decision that deserves some praise as he looks to establish himself as a first-team player somewhere.
