Greg Taylor seemed to endure a turbulent deadline day before eventually signing for Celtic.

Greg Taylor has expressed his delight on Twitter after finally sealing his move to Celtic in the final hours of the transfer window, and suggested that he could not wait to play at Parkhead for the first time as a Hoops player.

It was a dramatic day for the left-back, who may well have expected to seal his switch from Kilmarnock quite comfortably with Sky Sports reporting at the weekend that he had already undergone a medical with the Scottish Premiership champions.

However, the potential move looked to be in some doubt as the deadline loomed, with the Daily Record reporting on their live blog (2/9; 15:01) that Celtic’s £2 million bid had been rejected with both Jack Hendry and Calvin Miller rejecting the chance to go to Rugby Park as part of the deal.

But ultimately, the move got across the line, with Celtic confirming on their official website that the Scotland international had signed a four-year deal with Neil Lennon’s men.

It looks to be a very good piece of business from the Bhoys, who have responded well to losing Kieran Tierney to Arsenal earlier in the summer.
