The Rangers midfielder was allowed to leave Ibrox on loan by Steven Gerrard last summer.

Greg Docherty has admitted that he failed to realise just how huge a club Rangers are until he left Scotland left summer.
The Rangers midfielder is due to return to Ibrox when his Shrewsbury Town loan spell ends this summer.
But despite being nearly 300 miles away from Ibrox, Docherty has found his parent club impossible to ignore.
“Rangers are such a massive club,” he is quoted as saying in the Daily Record. “Having taken a step back this season, I realise how huge it is. There are Rangers fans coming up to me in Shrewsbury!
“There is an army base down here and it’s massive the following. They just ask if I’m going back and wish me good luck for this season.
“The Rangers fans have been unbelievable with me this season. They are absolutely incredible and the best fans in the world for sure with the way they follow the team.
“It’s been an incredible experience for me to be part of that as a Rangers player.”

Docherty has scored or made an impressive 20 goals in 45 games from Shrewsbury’s midfield this season.
But despite his fine form in England’s third tier, the 22-year-old has accepted that Rangers’ midfield will be difficult to breach upon his return to Ibrox.
Steven Gerrard’s options in Docherty’s position include Scott Arfield, Glen Kamara, Ryan Jack, Ross McCrorie, Steven Davis, Graham Dorrans, Matt Polster and Lassana Coulibaly.

“I’ll fight and try my best,” added Docherty. “The contract (until 2022) is there and I’ve got time on my side.”
Should Gerrard bring Docherty back into Rangers’ first-team plans next season?
