Rangers-owned midfielder Greg Docherty has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the Ibrox man’s former club Hamilton Academical’s progress in the UEFA Youth League.
Docherty started his professional club football career at Hamilton and moved to Ibrox club Rangers in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Record to be worth £600,000.
The 22-year-old midfielder did not have a great time at Rangers during the second half of last season, and Rangers manager Steven Gerrard decided to loan the Scotland Under-21 international out to Shrewsbury Town in League One in England in the summer transfer window.
Docherty is pleased to see his former club Hamilton get the better of FC Basel in the UEFA Youth League and progress to Round Two of the competition where they take on Danish club FC Midtylland.

Hamilton scored an equaliser in injury time and took the game to a penalty shootout which they won in the end.
