Greg Docherty is impressing away from Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers this season.

Has Greg Docherty just hinted that he wants to return to Rangers next summer?
The 22-year-old midfielder, who only joined Rangers in January, was deemed surplus to requirements by Gers boss Steven Gerrard during the summer.
Docherty joined Shrewsbury Town on a season-long loan but it looks like the youngster has no designs on a long-term spell in English football.
The former Hamilton star, who has managed six goals down South this season, has revealed to The Shropshire Star that he would love to emulate Rangers legend Stuart McCall’s spell at Ibrox.
McCall, who won five Scottish Premiership titles in Glasgow, is now manager of Scunthorpe United, who Docherty’s Town come up against in the FA Cup this afternoon.
Docherty said: “What Stuart did for Rangers was great. If I could have anywhere near the career at Rangers I’d be delighted. He was a great player. I’ve known him from his time in management at Motherwell.”

Going by those comments, Docherty clearly maintains hope that he can be a big hit at Rangers, but can he force his way into contention next season?
If there’s one position that Gerrard is absolutely fine for, it’s central midfield, but continuing to impress in League One this season would certainly put him in good stead ahead of his Ibrox return in June.
