Sven Mislintat to Liverpool is a story that’s been growing and growing in recent days.
According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, as covered by HITC Sport, the former Borussia Dortmund scout is a genuine candidate to succeed Julian Ward at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp has plenty of professional experience with Mislintat following their time together at Dortmund.
And according to 90 Min this week, Mislintat, who was Arsenal’s transfer guru before Edu and Raul Sanllehi, is interested in a reunion with the Liverpool manager.
Well, there’s been another interesting development.

That’s because Sky Germany report this morning that Stuttgart have already replaced Mislintat – nicknamed ‘Diamond eye’ – with Fabian Wohlgemuth of Paderborn.
Sven Mislintat to Liverpool?
So it looks very much like the the Liverpool-linked sporting director is leaving his current club but is he joining up with Klopp on Merseyside?
Well, that’s another question entirely.
Christian Falk of Bild revealed on Twitter yesterday that there was no discussions with Mislintat about returning to the Premier League.
But with him being out of the job soon – according to Sky – and his relationship with the Liverpool manager already, well let’s just say that it wouldn’t be a massive shock to see him at Anfield.
