Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Joe Gomez delivered an update on his recovery from injury.

The 23-year-old posted four photos of himself working on his fitness as he looks to bounce back from a serious knee injury.

Gomez – who has 11 caps for England – suffered the injury while on international duty with the Three Lions back in November.

His issue came at the worst possible time for Jurgen Klopp, as the Reds were already without Virgil van Dijk – again due to a serious knee injury.

There is still a long way to go for Gomez in his rehabilitation.

However, it is very encouraging to see him in the gym and working the knee on an exercise bike.

We bet Klopp cannot wait for him and Van Dijk to return.

Liverpool have been forced to play Jordan Henderson and Fabinho at centre-back in their last two Premier League games.

Joel Matip has also struggled with niggling injuries, while academy graduates Nathaniel Phillips and Rhys Williams have needed to fill in.

In that respect, the Reds have done well to stay in the title race.

Klopp’s men are six points off the summit with a game in hand, and still have Diogo Jota, Naby Keita, Gomez and Van Dijk to return.

Lets see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about Gomez’s tweet…
