Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman has been discussing Aaron Ramsdale and the confidence he exudes between the sticks.

The goalkeeper looks so assured in goal. He’s playing brilliantly, and while many would feel pressure in that position, he’s more than happy to have a laugh and a joke on the pitch.

Indeed, Ramsdale isn’t afraid to interact with fans and wind up opposition players while he’s playing, and Seaman believes that he couldn’t actually be any more confident.

What’s been said?

Seaman spoke about Ramsdale’s confidence.

“With Aaron, I look at him and I don’t know if he could be any more confident, he looks so confident and so at ease and so in control, even if he messes one up it doesn’t affect him it’s great to see and Arsenal fans are now shouting for England’s number one again, and I love that,” Seaman said.

Key

Confidence is such a big factor for a goalkeeper.

Mentality can make or break a goalie, just look at how some keepers have risen and fallen in recent years.

Loris Karius’ form fell off a cliff after the 2018 Champions League final, while Emi Martinez has enjoyed a meteoric rise after spending time as Arsenal’s number one.

Ramsdale is brimming with confidence right now, and we can only hope that he can continue playing in this manner for many years.
