Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has raved about Leeds United star Patrick Bamford on BT Sport.
Kane played with Leeds striker Bamford in the England youth teams, and the Tottenham star – who earns £200,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac – has hailed his compatriot.
The England international told BT Sport: “I’ve played with Patrick in the younger age groups at England, he’s a great finisher, great technically on the ball and he deserves to be playing in the Premier League.
“He has done a lot of hard work, he has had to fight his way to get to the highest level, and he’s showing that he can do it at the highest level.”
Patrick Bamford Stats
Bamford has scored 10 goals and provided two assists in 17 Premier League matches for Leeds so far this season, according to WhoScored.
The 27-year-old Englishman made 43 starts and two substitute appearances in the Championship for the Whites last season, scoring 16 goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Important player for Leeds United
Bamford has established himself as a key player for Leeds and is head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s first-choice striker.
Although Bamford misses chances – like all strikers – he does suit the way the Whites play.
The former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest striker works hard, helps out defensively, closes space, and links up well with the other attacking players.
For Leeds to have a successful season and perhaps finish in the top 10 of the Premier League, Bamford will be a key player.
